Updated: Jul 28, 2020
Whether you’re just starting out or you’re an established entrepreneur, blogger or business owner, you will always need a full gamut of different tools, tutorials, and resources to run a successful business. It doesn’t matter if you’re building your email list, building a following on your favorite social media platform, looking for high-quality images for your blog, or need some inspiration and motivation; everything is included in this post. Here is a list of all the apps and software I couldn't live without! I only recommend resources I know, use, and trust!

My Top 7 Business Tools
I use the following tools every day or at least 2 times a week:
Canva
HoneyBook
Flodesk
Planoly
QuickBooks (Self-Employed)
Session
Tailwind
Now, let's dive into each platform and I'll share how I use them too!

Canva
Canva is a graphic + design tool website that lets you design Pinterest pins, website logos, event flyers and so much more. I use Canva for everything, even to make PDFs for my workshops.
HoneyBook
More than a CRM, HoneyBook is a proactive platform for creative small
businesses to create, review, and manage—all in one place. It seamlessly ties together CRM, workflow, agreements, and transactions with a community to empower creatives to thrive together through collaboration and new business opportunities. #communityovercompetition
The best part—their concierge team will fully build out your account with YOUR
identity, brand, and templates. If you've booked a session with me then you've used HoneyBook!
Flodesk
Flodesk is the perfect tool for designing emails people love to get! You can create stunning campaigns that grow your business and you can automate your busy work and optimize your campaigns for the most effective results. You can test out the platform and see if this email marketing platform can take your business to the next level.
Planoly
Easily plan & schedule your Instagram posts and Stories too. It's the FIRST VISUAL PLANNER for Instagram. Clear and to the point, web and mobile app - PLANOLY is the most effective visual social media planner on the market (oh, and you can schedule too)!
QuickBooks (Self-Employed)
QuickBooks is a small business management tool that offers accounting, payroll, payments, time-tracking, milage tracking tools. QuickBooks (Self Employed) is perfect because it tracks mileage, sort expenses, organize receipts, send invoices, estimate and file taxes. It makes the whole tax time process so much easier. This one platform is a lifesaver for the self-employed entrepreneur. Any app that keeps you organized and saves you money come tax time has my vote.
Session
This one is just for photographers! The only scheduling software designed for booking mini sessions. Book mini sessions, single sessions, and workshops. With just a few clicks, you can set up your session, share it and start booking. Your clients pick a package, sign your contract, complete your questionnaire, and make their payment—all during booking.
Tailwind
Tailwind helps save time on Pinterest and Instagram by offering bulk image upload, the drag-and-drop calendar, multi-board pinning, pin looping, hashtag lists and much more! We’ve talked lots before about using Pinterest and Tailwind to promote your website (and blog) content and grow your website traffic. It’s my favorite strategy for website growth, and Tailwind is my favorite tool to streamline and automate it.
I love empowering photographers and creative entrepreneurs with the tools, resources, and education they need to build a profitable business and fulfilling life. Did you find this blog post helpful?
